What is a Professional Organizer?

A Professional Organizer is someone who creates customized solutions to help others get organized. They help their clients find balance, restore order and maximize their resources. They provide ideas, information, structure, solutions and systems that lead to increased productivity, reduced stress and control over individual resources.

In a nutshell, Professional Organizers help you to rid yourself of clutter, organize what needs to be kept, manage your time better and design systems for staying organized. This is done in a non-judgmental and supportive way.

What are the benefits of being organized?

Peace of mind is achieved. Being organized allows you to find things when you need them. Do away with frantic searching.

Efficiency, which translates into money ultimately. By simplification of office and life processes you free up time, which can be spent on more important things, whether that is pursuing revenue generating activities at work or relaxing with family and friends.

Your confidence increases. Knowing that you are in control and on top of deadlines gives you the confidence to pursue your dreams!

Space to breathe - it is easier to function without clutter surrounding you.

What does an Organizer offer that I couldn't do on my own?

Organizing is a skill that anyone can learn. There is nothing that a Professional Organizer offers that couldn't be done yourself. Except for the unbiased, well-informed and fresh perspective that comes with the Organizer.

Many people know that they could do the job themselves - they just don't have the time, energy or resources at their fingertips. Or they don't know where to start! Newleaf leads you through the process, designating a start and end point and makes sure the end result is in keeping with your goals and budget.

How long will it take?

Each situation is unique. It is not possible to estimate the organizing effort required without understanding the current situation and what the ultimate goal is. What is 'organized' to you may not be someone else's idea of organization.

Newleaf Consulting offers a free ½ hour phone consultation to discuss areas in need of organization and your optimum outcome.

Is organizing expensive?

Consider the cost-benefit. If being organized will ultimately save you time and/or money, then the investment will come back to you in spades. What is piece of mind worth to you? Can you place a value on being able to find important documents (or even your car keys) when you need them? Some of the benefits of organizing are tangible and we can easily place a price tag on them. Many of the benefits are intangible however.

If your budget is tight, we will assess what aspects of the project can be done on your own versus with the assistance of an Organizer. Specific instructions will be given and deadlines agreed upon to guide you through the pieces you take on yourself.
